Timekeepers Square, Salford

The award winning Timekeepers Square development involved the construction of 36 high quality Georgian inspired townhouses and associated communal courtyards as part of ECF’s Salford Central regeneration scheme. The development is sited within a conservation area and lies adjacent to the Grade 2 listed St Phillips Church.

The townhouses range from 2 bed terraced to 4-bed semi-detached properties, constructed in traditional masonry construction with the use of long span metal web joists to form the upper floors, and beam & block flooring to the ground floors. Localised loose steelwork was required to form some of the bespoke feature detailing of the townhouses. A substantial depth of made ground below the site in addition to the close proximity to services and other properties warranted the use of non-percussive piling techniques with insitu reinforced ground beams.
